SONTAN locate in a city which is famous and rich for its fruit litchi and next to Zhujiang River. This college is beside the 324 national road, and 30 kilometer from GuangZhou .it take about 50 minutes by bus to GuangZhou, and 15 minute to downtown of ZengCheng. The campus is half around by mountains with fresh air all day. It has buildings with European kind of design. Located in such abundant ground with water and fruit. SonTan College is around by luscious “Gualue” culture which came into being hundreds of years ago. Meanwhile the setup of SonTan College offer good opportunity to local young people to accept modern knowledge as well as student from the other city of china.
We have 7 major departments; there are foreign language department, economic department, art department, management department, law department, electron department and computer department.
The whole area of Sontan College is about 677,988 square meters; the constructed area is about 207,400 square meters. We mainly have 7 teaching buildings, one administration building ,a 10,300 square-meter library , 10 student dormitories of 96,000 Square meter, two teacher dormitory ,of which one apartment is 40 square meter with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room and balcony . 4 canteens, a 46,000 –square- meter playground and 15 basketball ground, 10 badminton ground , two tennis ground ,one gymnasium and so on .The college has very ascendant infrastructure for both student and teacher. And there are many kinds of entertainment too. Every year our teachers and students hold many kind of party to celebrate new year, teacher’s day, mid-autumn festival and Christmas and so on .In order to speech up Sontan college‘s development we plan to build up new teaching building which may take up about 96,000 square-meter of the un-exploitation area, and new student dormitory of 92,000 square meter and new library of 15,000 square meter, and a gymnasium of 10,000 square meter and a new teacher dormitory in these two year.

Guangdong Province
Guangdong Province, also known as Yue in short, is located in southern China, facing the South China Sea, and neighboring Hong Kong and Macao in the south. It covers an area of 179,000 square kilometers and has a population of 67.89 million. Guangzhou in the middle of Guangdong is the capital.
The advantageous geographical position makes Guangdong Province a bridge between China's mainland and Hong Kong and Macao, as well as the rest of the world. It is one of the first areas in China implementing reform and opening-up policies.
Highways, airlines, and water transportation provide easy access to all parts of the country and the world. The Baiyun Airport is one of the three largest international airports in China; The Huangpu Port can handle over 10,000-ton ships; The railways, including the Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Kowloon, Shanghai-Hong Kong, Guangzhou-Kowloon, Guangzhou Zhanjiang, and Guangzhou-Meizhou-Shantou, link the province with all the other big cities in China. The opening of the Dongguan-Humen Bridge makes it easier to travel between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
Guangdong is located on the sub-tropical zone. It has a mild climate with enough, pleasant sunshine, and its annual mean temperature is 22c. The province has beautiful natural landscape, historical sites, and hundreds of places of interest. The state-level ancient cultural cities include Guangzhou, Chaozhou, Zhaoqing, Foshan, Meizhou, and Leizhou. The most famous tourist attractions are the Seven-Star Rock in Zhaoqing, Mt. Danxia in northern Guangdong, Mt. Xiqiao close to the South China Sea, Mt. Luofu in Boluo, and Mt. Binghu in Zhaoqing, as well as the Splendid China, the Window of the World, and the National Folklore Cultural Village.
In recent years, Guangdong has developed a Guangdong Hong Kong-Macao Tourist Triangle, attracting numerous visitors from home and abroad. Guangdong is ready to welcome friends from all parts of the world.
Guangzhou City
Guangzhou served as the capital in the five Dynasties (907-960). It is a port city for foreign trade and a modern metropolis opening to the outside world. The Guangzhou Fair is held twice a year here. The tourist attractions include the Zhenhai Tower, the Wuxian Taoist Temple, and Tomb of the Nanyue King, the Chen Family Temple, the Six-Banyan Monastery, Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall, Mt. Baiyun, and Yuexiu Park.
Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall
Located on Dongfeng Rd. M. in downtown Guangzhou, the memorial hall, an octagonal structure 49 meters high, with a floor space of 3,700 square meters, was the office of the Provisional Government in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). In 1921, Dr. Sun Yat-sen was made the president of the Provisional Government here. It was built with money raised by overseas Chinese and Guangzhou residents in honor of Dr. Sun in 1931.
The Six-Banyan Monastery
Located on Liurong Rd. in central Guangzhou, the monastery was built in 537 of the Southern Dynasty (420-589), with Liuzu Hall, Guanyi Hall, and an ancient pagoda 57 meters in height, the tallest in the city of Guangzhou. It is an activity center for Buddhists.
Tomb of the Nanyue King
Located on Xianggang Hill in downtown Guangzhou and close to the International Hotel, Guangdong, it was a tomb of the second king of Nanyue built underground 2,600 years ago, and is the largest tomb in Guangdong Province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. More than 1,000 articles have been unearthed from the tomb.
Nanhu National Holiday Resort
One of the 12 national holiday resorts in China, the Nanhu National Holiday Resort covers an area of 15 square kilometers, including the Oriental Amusement Park, the Nanhu Amusement Park, and Dajinzhong Reservoir. There are such service facilities as villa blocks, the China Tachi Center, and the Golf Club.
Guangdong Cuisine
Guangdong cuisine, one of the four famous cuisine in China, consists of three parts, Guangzhou Chaozhou, and Dongjiang, among which Guangzhou dishes is the most representative. High up'
on the menu are such Guangzhou dishes as the roast piglet, the dragon and tiger fighting against each other, and the dragon tiger phoenix snake soup. Representative dishes of the Chaozhou cuisine are the roast goose, the chicken with thick broad bean sauce, and the mandarin duck crabs. Representative Dongjiang dishes include the fermented bean curd, and the eight-treasure duck. Guangdong cuisine uses a great variety of ingredients and emphasizes freshness and tenderness.
Guangdong leads China in the variety of pastries, featured by great variety of ingredients, meticulously made, sweet and salty, and freshness. Representative Guangdong pastries include the shrimp dumplings, steamed dumplings, and glutinous rice with chicken.
The morning tea in Guangdong is very popular and special, which usually lasts for hours. People enjoy delicious pastries while chanting with their friends or colleagues.
